My ISP has officially stopped letting users downloading .torrent files needed for bit torrent.
No matter how much I try to download, either through proxies, download programs, any way I could think off, I couldn’t download files that ended with .torrent. Actually I could download them, but it would take a few hours, and if the files have finished downloading, the file wouldn’t work with the torrent applications.
I was happy when torrent spy implemented a “download as .text” option, but that wont work either, its where u download the .torrent file as .text and you would then change the extension to .torrent.
My only option right now is to let other people download the .torrent files for me and send them to me, or use sites like mininova.org that have the azureus (torrent program) magnetic link, which is the only way I am able to download, but public torrent sites are slowwwwwwwww I want to be able to download from torrentleech and filelist.
Anyone out there suffers from a similar problem?
Anyone out there has a solution for me? I am thinking of getting a dial up connection so I can download the .torrent files only ![]()

BTW, what is your favorite torrent site?
the problem is I cant change it, its the company that my complex has, its included in my rent and I have to stick with it.
i setup a free dialup trial and i’m downloading that way, even though I dont download that much these days, I mainly download new movies and if some games come out, thats it, with the occasional tv show that I missed on tv.
my favorites sites are filelist.org and torrentleech.org, they are private sites where u have to register (registration is currently closed) which means that people want to upload in order to maintain their ratio, my favorite public sites are mininova.org torrentspy.com and isohunt.com.
I don’t know if its happening to me as well or not but I think I’m having the same problem with my ISP (United Networks). A few days ago I was downloading torrents just fine, using Azureus 2.5.0, until suddenly all downloads stopped on one rate and then restarted from scratch! I will check up with a guy who works there today and if it’s true then I’ll probably quit using the internet. =/
ohhh bad!
Damn that sucks! I dont care what my Building is going with! I would move if that was the case!
Marzouq,

i wish it was that easy
will have to wait to december to do that
get a new line if u are not happy with it.I don’t think they’ll mind but its better if u give the landlord a call.
I am starting a petition with other residents, to either allow us to download .torrent files or to change our ISP
r thoughs torrents safe
