Wow. Has it been a year already? Seems like yesterday I was trying to figure out how to install Wordpress, get the blog up and running and all. I remember chatting with KtheKuwaiti trying to figure out this whole thing, thanks K! I made a blog on blogspot (now it redirects you right to here) and the next day I got a domain, and made it home, then the journey started. I just knew that Wordpress is better even before posting a single post on blogger. Ironically my first post on blogger is to tell the world (if any) that I moved my blog to here 
I remember trying to figure out what the whole blogging thing was all about. I have been a reader of some blogs since way before I started my blog. I actually wanted to start blogging a couple of months before I actually started. For 5-6 months I always put it off, then at one of many boring-lonely nights I decided to finally start. I basically started it to keep in touch with friends I have all over the place. I never really thought that people, who are basically strangers, would be interested in reading my blog.
I have never thought that I would grow so attached to it, I really didnt think that I would last 1 whole year. Its amazing how someone can get attached to something that is really a bunch of files, sitting on a server god knows where. I am proud of it. I blush whenever I talk to friends/family and find out that they actually read it, even a year later, I still do.
I have put together my favorite posts (from the top of my mind, I’ll keep adding to it when I remember some other posts) in a separate category, appropriately called “favorites.” You can view these posts by clicking here. I am also proud of World Cup Fever, which was maintained by Carlsb3rg and I. It was an amazing and exciting experience where we spent 2 months blogging about the World Cup, the matches, the news, pretty much everything (hi Carls, if ur reading this).
One of the most important things that I have learned about blogging, is that blogging is about community. I am really proud of the fact that I have had the honor to know so many wonderful people through blogging. Either by commenting on eachothers blogs, an email, an IM chat, or maybe even a phone call, I have had the chance to know lots of great people, of which I am proud to call friends. I’ve still yet to meet a single person I got to know through blogging, hopefully I will be able to soon.
