Yazeez In Town

I arrived in Kuwait yesterday via Frankfurt.

I didnt mention it here cause I wanted to surprise my family (I dont even know if they read this thing anyways:P ). They knew I was coming, but I told them that I am coming on Thursday not today (yesterday). It was a long long flight back home. It took me 30 hours to arrive in Kuwait since I left my apartment in Charlotte. I left my apartment at 7 am to go to the airport for my flight to DC (there is a direct flight from Charlotte to Frankfurt, but the immigration office in Charlotte is closed for some reason), where I arrived at 11.30 am (eastern time, american). My flight to Frankfurt was at 4.30 pm so I had lots of time to kill in DC. The flight to Frankfurt took 8 and a half hours. I had an awful experience, sitting next? a 10 year old Russian kid who didnt speak English, but wanted to talk to me for some reason. He bothered me for the whole flight, and whenever I felt like sleeping, he’d find a way to take that away from me. I only managed 2 hours of sleep, terrible flight. Then it was? time for my 7 hour layover at Frankfurt airport, which SUCKS big time. Nothing to do. I met up with my friend’s younger brother and his friend, we were on the same flight back to Kuwait. Time went by so slowly, we just sat there at McDonald’s for most of the time (which by the has ridiculously long lines, plus the food sucks). When boarding time came, we were the first on-board, I was so tired that I buckled my seat belt and slept before takeoff. I only woke up when the flight attendant tapped on my shoulder to know what type of food I wanted, which I ate up in a matter of minutes so I could go back to sleep again. I woke up a couple of minutes from landing, when the plane took a really strong u-turn to land at Kuwait International Airport. Where I was greeted by friends, stayed with them for a while then went home and surprised my parents, who for some reason were so shocked that I arrived 2 days early (the only reason I told them was to know if they wanted me to get something from the states) that instead of being happy initially, I was greeted in a rather negative way :D Typical Yazeed, wain ma y6igha 3ooooya :D

I went to sleep after the chit-chat of how I arrived and after handing out the gifts and stuff I got them. I just woke up very refreshed, the best sleep in my life. I want to go back to sleep and sleep for a few days straight. It was absolutely the worst flight I ever had. I hope I dont get on a Lufthansa flight ever again, especially after I saw Frankfurt airport. Next time its either KLM or BA or even Saudi or Kuwait airways (direct flights).

By the way Kuwait is really hot and FastTelco sucks!

      Hamdallah 3al salamah! (5anshoofik 3ad .. )

Lufthansa is great, as long as you stick to business class (laptop power/internet/great seats), and you can use the lounge.

      The Stallion,
      Thanks.

      BloBoz,
Yeah I heard about that, I also heard that they are going to be super exepensive, like $3500+ for economy, bas i’ll wait and see what happens, the best deal for a direct flight is saudi airlines, for saudi students they have a discount, $860 from JFK to anywhere in saudi, but they are usually fully booked, and this christmas is hajj season so there is no chance for tickets and in the summer they are fully booked with students.

      vintage,
      allah yisalmich,
do i need to show u the khatma on my passport for u to belive that i am in kuwait :D
and i didnt really sleep that much.

      KtheKuwaiti,
i knew they had wireless and usb but a power plug for laptops! thats amazing, i need to find another airline that offers that :D

      Marzouq,
i forgot that fastelco had a problem then i remembered reading about on many blogs, i knew i would not like the internet speed, but when gmail took a couple of minutes to load, i knew there was something wrong :P

      forzaq8,
i will look at BA’s schedule for christmas :P

      Wer3Y,
      allah yisalmik

      waa,
walah mo ib6ainy! bas i wanted to go back to sleep ASAP, the sleep was good and i knew lufhtansa’s food is good, plus it was chicken biryani, so it was too good to pass up :D

      Laialy_q8,
      I feel you girl :D

      MvYv,
allah yisalmik, i will get back to ur email, i only read the email before i left for the airport and i didnt have time to reply, when i got back i forgot to do so.
