Ya Salam Salim!

We decided to cook something different today, not the usual (which is basically, machboos or kabsa). My roommate and I were grocery shopping and saw this beef roast on display, so we decided to get some and try it out. After getting a few tips from friends and recipes online, we started preparing it. Basically everything that was in our kitchen went into preparing the roast. Potatoes, tomatoes, onions, garlic, parsley, salt, black pepper, olive oil, paprika powder, lemon, and grilling spices. I didnt know it took so much time. After preparing it, we had to refrigerate it for a while. It looked delicious and smelled good enough to eat at this stage :P

After an hour and a half in the oven, it turned out to look like this:

Not that big of a difference, 9a7? :P It was worth the wait, turned out a lot (A LOT!) better than we expected. Had some baked potatoes and hummus (madry laish, bes it was in the fridge) on the side. Considering the fact that it was our first shot at it, it was a very good start. More to come in the future 8)

I’m surprised that you made the effort to “decorate” the dish a bit; most guys don’t necessary care about that

      Angelo,
well it wasnt decoration, the onions oo tomatoes were an effort to make it “juicy” and the potatoes tasted amazing!!!
