Arsenal 3-1 Liverpool

I wasnt optimistic about the match. It was against a Liverpool team that has been doing well as of late, and it was at Liverpool. Arsenal were missing Fabregas, who has became a vital name in the midfield. So I wasnt really optimistic.

But! I always forget that Arsenal still didn’t disappoint against big teams, they beat Man U (away) 1-0, beat Liverpool 3-0 at home, and drew Chelski (away) 1-1.

I missed the first 35 minutes of the match, for reasons I will mention below, but from what I saw, it was an equal match, Arsenal’s defense made sure that they would clear the ball quickly. Rosicky scored 2 goals, both in the first half, which ended 2-0 to Arsenal. The first goal (which I missed, but saw later) is absolutely amazing! You have to see it! The second goal came a few minutes before halftime, I dont know how Rosicky managed to keep the ball, let alone manage to shoot and score it with so many Liverpool players around him. Then Liverpool pulled one back by a header from Kuyt.

Then came another moment of brilliance, from The King himself. Only Henry could have scored this goal! I wont dare to even try and describe it. I’ll just let you see it.

What an amazing match for me, I am so happy! A great day for Arsenal fans, beating Liverpool at home. Liverpool havent lost a home match since March. They havent conceded a goal at home for 8 or 9 games (not sure about this one, its what they said yesterday on the news). Before the match I read this article about today’s game, and the writer had this interesting passage:

When you play Everton, the sign above the tunnel says WELCOME TO GOODISON.

When you play Liverpool, the sign says THIS IS ANFIELD.

If Arsenal beat Liverpool they will be making a mockery of that sign, which once intimidated visitors. As did the roar of the mighty Kop.

Can Arsenal play up North?

Well, they won 1-0 at Old Trafford in September. And Thierry Henry didn’t play in that game.

Now I am going to vent out another thing.

PPV! This game was on Pay Per View. $17 for a match. Ridiculous! Ridiculious I tell you! I dont have PPV channels, but even if I did, I wouldnt pay that amount for one match! (well if it was a final or something, maybe I would) So I turn to FreeLiveFooty.com, which I have a subscription with, but their site was down, I got the link for the feed, but it wouldnt work, so I had to settle to watch the match on a free Chinese stream. The problems is that I went all out for this match:

Had all my snacks ready

My weird rituals all set (I was wearing an Arsenal shirt too <----part of the ritual too)

And I had to settle on watching the game here
