      sob7aan allah i chopped onions today bss i didn’t dice tomato’s :p i just used tomato suace ;)

      i think chopping for the hard food and dicing or slicing for the soft food,and as miyafushi said, try to chop tomatos and u will get tomato paste i guess :P

      The word is chosen according to the size of the finished product. In order of size, smallest to largest: Minced, Diced, Chopped. You can throw in “ornamental cutting” where things are cut at angles in various sizes, but that’s something a little different.

      Then you have all the cutting to produce long pieces: shredding, juliienne, match-stick, etc. up to the big french fries/pommes frites!

      It’s vocabulary! It’s technique! Two great treats rolled up in one!
