[...] I am fed up with what some Muslim clerics are saying these days. I remember reading once that an Egyptian Cleric banned having sex with your wife unless you have the intention to actually get her pregnant. The other day my friend told me that there was another Egyptian Cleric who banned looking at your wife while she is naked. Saudi Clerics banned praying and supporting Hezbollah (askara a political fatwa after this). [...]

the issue isnt excepting a 60-40 deal,
as arabs we excepted a 80-20 deal with osolo

("let the planes fly"? whats next, let the bombs fall? hehe)

but typically, the israelis went for more and more with the settlement expansions in the 90s and this decade, the creation of the wall that completely destorys the whole idea of a two state solution

what your asking for is for us to accept crumbs, and even the crumbs are too much... come on yazeed...think rationally here

but let me make this clear, i am for a diplomatic, political solution...but i am realistic as well because and history has shown the diplomatic solution is the what teh israelis fear the most.

things may not be completely equal with the israelis that is very true, but that does not mean we have to give up in trying to equalize as much as we can...

and in my opinion really, israel will fall from within, the non-jewish population in israel is growing and will surpass the majority in the next decades, the concept of zionism itself is breaking down...it is a 19th century concept that should have stayed in the 19th century

yazan,
things will never be equal with israel
it will always be like a 60-40 deal, and we just have to live with that. let the palnes fly, but dont mess with the border, it aint fair, but do u have the power to "really" defend urself?

palestinianphilospher,
first of all come up with a shorter name dude, it takes a while to type that up :P
being a muslim has nothing to do with supporting hizballah or not.
you say that half of the worlds terrorist come from saudi, r u saying that the government is supporiting the "Saudi" terrorists.

may i just say something...

to say that hezb allah was at fault does not take into account the context of the situation. Hezb allah, have been announcing for a whole year that they will kidnap israeli soliders if israel does not free hundreds of lebanese prisoners that have been in their jail cell for years...

if you want to attack hezb allah for crossing the borders and attacking a military outpost on the borders( its not like the went in deep into israel), on the grounds of respecting soverigenty then what does one say about israel's planes flying over lebanon and syria over the past few months, or the fact that a spy ring was caught by the lebanese intelligence that is linked to the mossad...soverigenty is a bs idea that isn't respected.

and all due respect to the saudi government, they have no inkling on the aspects of resistance to even try to comment on it...

mooodi,
well the government isnt necessarily chosen by the people too :P
I am give u a wild guess and say that the whole arab street is not with what the Saudi government has said too, doesnt make them right, but foreign policy doesnt really have to do with the opinions of the citizens of that specific country.
The reason that I posted about this, not because i am saudi, but because it may have surprised a lot of people, especially that Saudi has influence in the arab world and especially in the gulf. I dont know what other gulf states, but i am sure that Iran and Syria are in some way supporting Hizballah.

Yesterday they interviewed the Syrian Ambassador to the UN. He said that there was nothing wrong with what Hizballah did, cause its the only way they can hold any leverage with Israel in the issue of the arab prisoners. What a DUMBASS!

Yazeed,
Religion was in reply to palestinianphilospher.
My point was KSA's opinion as a gov't doesn't particularly represent the views of the Suadi people.

mark.

yeah i was suprised to
i wonder what is their position on Israel\'s response
it is really hizballah\'s fault, at first i thought the israeli soldeirs went into lebanon or something, but i was suprised to know that it was actually hizballah who have crossed the border, not the Israelis.

moodi,
whats relegion got to do with this?
well saudi\'s opinion (As a government ) is important, espcially when lebanon is involved, a lot of investments are made there, they dealt with the last lebanese problem in the al taif meeting, plus Hariri is practically saudi.

palestinianphilospher,

again, what relegion go to do with this? why bring in the vatican?

Suadi Arabians are not the most religous people in the world, don't classifiy people by where they come from.

Doesn't mean jack shit to be honest, official statements of individual countries are worthless, its impossible to represent the views of an entire nation through one statement, besides Suadi Arabia is political mashup, installment of power through strong foreign policies, the views represented officially are without foundation, behind every political statement is an entirely different world of foreign politics.

finally, the root of the problem is exposed to the ignorant people. Hizbollah needs to be cleansed from within the state of Lebanon by its people. Waiting for Israel, or America or any other Arab country to come to the rescue will only create more problems.

Actually I have been surprised by the reactions of many people from the gulf. I was expecting everyone to attack Israel just because its Israel but I am glad people are not looking at things that way.
