my philosophy has always been: treat others the way THEY want to be treated. no use treating me the way you want to be treated.. perhaps your way doesn’t suit me. assuming of course, that the other person is someone worth being treated well to begin with
Well from a moral and religious view we should treat all with respect and patience.
I know that is easier said than done because some people especially in the Arab world mistake gentleness and respect as weakness.

Treat how you want to be treated thats what i do even though sometimes it hurts when you do alot of things for ppl and they dont acknowledge.But it feels good when you do the right thing.
Like brave said above it depends on the ppl. Some ppl dont deserve the “how you want to be treated” treatment so treat them between the two treatments, a little like how u want to be treated and a little of how they treat you
I treat people how I like to be treated until they mistreat me one too many times, then I treat them how they are treating me.
If that doesn’t work, then I ignore them completely
Treating people how THEY want to be treated is all fine and dandy on paper however what if someone is into SnM should I just start smacking them around treating them like a dog on a leash asking for grief?

In the end just be yourself, keep doin what your doin worked out so far hasn’t it. All I gotta say is keep it real and stay True to yourself. If yourself is rotten down to the core then be true to that too. Don’t allow yourself to be swayed into conformance of what others expect. Be what you want to be. If others wont like it screw em, are you gonna let those people get in the way of making you happy?
We have been preprogrammed to actually give a shit about what others think of us and thats a weakness propagated by people who want to control our train of thought so we don’t rebel and cause them trouble. So right now I’m gonna ask you are you really free or are you a victim of enslavement?

I guess the best way is to treat those who deserve to be treated well the way u’d like to be treated, and the ones who don’t deserve to be treated well treat them the way they shud be treated. I don’t believe that u shud treat those who disrespect u by disrespecting them in return, becuz that means ur stepping down to their low level. There r ways to treat those disrespectful ppl in a respectful way yet making ur point clear; by making them respect u ‘3asbin 3alaihom. It’s hard to explain bcuz this is situational and depends on the person ur dealing with and the way they’re treating u.
