If you haven’t read the book, buy it, read it, then watch the movie, and prepare to be disappointed.
If you decide to watch the movie without reading the book, you will enjoy it.
The movie didn’t include everything in the book, but what it included was sufficient enough for people to know whats going on, and what everything is all about. The movie could have been A LOT better. A LOT.
The chemistry between Robert and Sophie wasn’t there, I felt that it was a lot stronger in the book, A LOT. This? is the first movie I watch after I have read the book, it sucks to know everything in the movie within the first 5 minutes of it starting. The first half an hour was somewhat what I thought and imagined it would be while reading the book. When things get serious, my imagination while reading the book was much more exciting than what the movie portrayed. Maybe I should give directing or producing movies a shot. I am sure than the millions who have read the book will agree with how the movie was portrayed. Not everything in the book was included, which is a disappointment. The middle part of the movie was somewhat interesting, even for people who have read the book, but the ending kind of sucked.
This was one of the most anticipated movies in a while now, which is rare these days, and to me, the movie disappoints, it didn’t live up to the hype. Maybe I am just upset that the movie didn’t include the whole book, some important parts went missing, maybe they were just afraid of the Church.
The cast could have been better (Sophie). The direction is not consistent during the whole movie. At times I felt lost, at times not. I enjoyed it, probably cause I have been waiting for it forever.
Bottom line: The book is better.

a funny note during the movie, when Robert is just about to tell Sophie that she is the secret, I said “you are the secret” in what apparently was a loud voice, so when Robert said it, people started looking at me. At the end of the movie, the guy next to me asks me: “how many time have you seen the movie today?”
I saw it once, and that is probably enough!!!!

Before you call it a disappointment you have to realize that it is very difficult to turn a book into a movie. Especially for a book like this were the dialogue is very detailed and in some cases long.
When you read a book you start to imagine it in your head and picture it in your minds eye. But when you see the movie you will see someone else’s interpretation; you will see what they saw in their minds eye. So off course its not going to be exactly how you pictured it.
There were parts of the book that were omitted from the movie but then again there were parts that were not in the book that appeared in the movie. For example, Langdon’s speach at the University of Paris.
But in the end it was good entertainment. Even if you havent read the book you will understand it and enjoy it.
You may say it is a disappointment but it is still worth watching.
