We all know what happened in Lebanon today/yesterday. I woke up and saw it on some Arabic news sites. I have been searching all day about it, watching Arabic TV channels online, and most importantly (these days) is to read the blogs.
So I came across this Lebanese blog, its run by a group of authors, they have a post that’s being updated whenever something new happens. [here]
I have never really understood Lebanon, I know why and how the politics is divided there, but sometimes I dint really get them. Reading the post (linked above) really confused me. The post states that some Lebanese and Palestinians in refugee camps were celebrating and congratulating Hezbollah! From what I read this feeling of accomplishment didn’t come after the kidnapping of the soldiers (which I understand to be a reason to celebrate) but after Israel bombed Lebanon. Why are you happy when your country is being attacked, and your countrymen are being killed.
Is the situation in Lebanon that serious? I’ve read about it, seen it on TV, but you cant really get that feeling if your outside of the middle-east. Is it a full out war? I hear that Hezbollah have attacked Northern Israel (with their crappy missiles). I’ll update when I find something interesting.
