The PS3 will sell for $499 for the 20GB version, and $599 for the 60GB version. They are to be released in Japan on the 7th of November, on the 11th of November for North America.? Sony will ship 2 million in November, 4 million by the end of 2006, and 6 million by the end of march 2007.
The price is a little steep compared to the Xbox360, but you are getting a next generation DVD player (Blu-ray) so it might be worth it. Cant wait. .:.Link.:.
In any case, a 60GB PS3 abroad will cost you 200KD, which would be probably alot cheaper than a 20GB PS3 in kuwait. I’m glad they kept the joystick

Yazeed, I’ve also read that the 60GB version has WIFI and HDMI, while the other version doesn’t, so even forking out an extra 50KD is worth it for the 60gb. Considering also that blu-ray players are going to cost like 700$ or something, the PS3 is a bargain buy.
All we have to do now is buy it from the US. The european version is 399, 599 euros, but dollars are cheaper at the moment

Yeah Rihab will have a rediculous price for the PS3 and I dont mind at all fork out 200Kd for the 60GB version! Rihab are still selling the XBOX 360 for 240KD! Premium version.. so its still rediculous!

The difference between the 20 GB and 60 GB versions of the PS3 are as follows:
- HDD size (duh).
- Wifi and Card reader for the 60 GB version.
Both versions have HDMI, it wasn’t like this before, but three months before launch it was decided that the 20 GB (basic model) would also have HDMI, and kudos for Sony for doing that.
I think 1000 kd is a very exaggerated price, the PS3 in Kuwait costs 500 kd…which is still insane.
I’m waiting for the U.S release and will be ordering one online.
