I personally believe that Saudi paid for Pakistan’s nuclear program. The current Crown Prince, Prince Sultan, is also the defense minister, was there when Pakistan showed off their nuclear weapon, and he regularly attends Pakistan’s military shows where they showcase new tanks or other military vehicles. Plus in my view Saudi needs something to deal with any threat coming from Iran. I don’t believe they should be the only ones with them, especially with a history of exploiting gulf countries, plus I know they hate us for religious reasons. They want Mecca and Medina independent from Saudi. Remember all those Hajj protests, and setting the tents on fire.
I am not calling for war or anything. I am only saying that we shouldn’t sit there and wait for them to demand or threaten. I am also not saying that we should build a nuclear program, just buy some :P.

Just like America gave Israel its Nuclear and military capabilities, Saudi did the same thing with Pakistan..indirectly. Ya3ni, Saudi is like the US and the Pakistan is like Israel in this comparison. BOTH with vital interests.
Saudi indirectly maintains a balance of power in the region via Pakistan through its Nuclear might and that probably explains why they are not afraid or need nukes.
Just like Israel is viewed as America’s remote state and wants to maintain the region Araba-nuke free so that will not disrupt the balance of Power that was created by the US. However, the balance was ruined in the 90’s when Pakistan, an Islamic state, acquired nuclear capabilites. The reason was to counter-measure India…or so we thought now!
