I have never laughed so hard in my life. I was waiting for this movie since I saw that Borat poster in July, the trailer I saw back in September made me really want to watch this. I can seriously say that I was looking forward to this one, more than the Da Vinci Code, cause I loved the Borat character on the Ali G show since way back.
This movie really looks like a big hit. We went into the theater 15 minutes before the show started, we rarely do that, usually we are 10 minutes late so we can miss some of the trailers which usually last 15 to 20 minutes. The reason we went early cause the show they had before the one we booked was sold out, this didn’t happen to us with the Da Vinci Code (although I played it safe and got my ticket a week before the show). When we arrived, we were surprised that there was only a few seats left in the theater! We were four people and we couldn’t sit next to each other.
The movie was a blast, everyone enjoyed it, we kept on joking about it all through the night. Don’t watch that many trailers, cause they have used some of the jokes in it, and you’ll probably not laugh at them cause you already did. But they have saved the funniest scenes for the movie. OMG I wanna see it again, I swear I have never laughed so hard, I haven’t watched something this funny in my life.
I would think that people who don’t really enjoy Borat, might not enjoy the movie, cause its similar to Ali G, but with a story (kind of).
Watch this movie, you will laugh!

haha the full title alone cracks me up — ill get it on dvd as i doubt its gonna play in kuwaiti theatres
the movie has had great buzz since the summer when it opened in a few film festivals plus the You Tube footage also helped build awareness.

yeah the kind of attention and promotion this movie has been getting has been big, the funny thing that sacha has been promoting it as borat, which i would think would make many people confused. My fried told me the other day that sacha sold the rights for Bruno, his gay austrian fashion reporter character, for $42 Million, to produce a movie based on that. I guess things are going good for Sacha
