I'm waiting for the Wii, which I think is far more innovative than the PS3. Nintendo have decided to move the emphasis away from more powerful hardware and onto more enjoyable gaming, which is what it really all is about anyway. Still the PS3 isn't going to go down that easily. Remember, Sony has the secret ingredient to console success: amazing third party software support! Neither Nintendo nor Microsoft can boast the amount of third-party (non-Nintendo or non-Microsoft) support for their video game library. This is essentially what helped the PSX and PS2 blow their competitors out of the water.

Jihad,
well i am really looking forward for the PS3. I already got the 1080p HDTV in place :P. I hope Sony can find a way through their current production problems. About the IBM chips, I have read an article about a month ago that goes along the same line of the article I linked. IBM's chip division are having troubles with it, and many of the chips that are produced are unusable, but the percentage of unusable chips is high, and that's a major problem.
For some reason I feel that the PS3 is going to be delayed...again. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Launches are always buggy. The first wave of most consoles have bugs that get fixed with time. PS3 is heading off to a strange launch. Strange price point, Vague launch-title list, and a confusing mission statement for the console. At first it was a videogame console, then it started looking mor elike a media center, and now Sony says that it's a computer that can be configured in any number of ways.

I'm not throwing the towl on Sony yet though, far from it. I'm actually drooling over MGS4, Warhawk, Tekken 6, and Gran Turismo. I've also been marching the streets of Riyadh in search for the perfect HD-TV that supports 1080p resolution. This experience has to be PERFECT!

I don't think that any manufacturing problems that IBM is having with Cell can effect PS3. I believe Sony is making their own in their new factories in Nagasaki. IBM's problems might effect their forth coming server blades or something, but I doubt PS3.

Are you sure about the neutrality of that website? I don't know it, but in the page you linked, I found at least 5 different links to XBOX360 stuff, lol.

Nice post man. I needed the relief after a long painful day. Take it easy..
