Silence can say more than a thousand words.
This day shall unite us all about this unbelievable painful & shocking event and show some respect and love to those who lost their loved ones.
On April 30th 2007, the Blogosphere will hold a One-Day Blog Silence in honor of the victims at Virginia Tech. More then 30 died at the US college massacre.
But it´s not only about them. Many bloggers have responded and asked about all the other victims of our world. All the people who die every day. What about them?
This day can be a symbol of support to all the victims of our world!
All you have to do is spread the word about it and post the graphic on your blog on 30th April 2007. No words and no comments. Just respect, reflect and empathy.
I like the idea, and I’m going to do it. There is still ample time for this to spread around. If you use digg, help spred the word, by digging this story.
Bloggers! spread the word.
Readers, dont worry, its only for one day

I already filled my post quota for the month .. How about we move it to May.
With all respect to the victims of Virginia Tech and to their families I do not support that day of blog silence.
I’m sad for the victims of Virginia Tech, but I’m much sad for those victims whom nobody cares about.
I can read well, I know that this day is meant to support all victims around the world, but why don’t the world remember to support its victims when Iraqis or Palestinians die???
Iraqis are killed every day, yesterday about 200 Iraqis was killed, today almost no one in the world remembers them.
At the BBC’s world news front page, you’ll find nothing talking about those 200 Iraqis, but two articles talking about Virginia Tech attack…
Again I’m sad for all victims around the world including Virginia’s, but it seems that we are so cheap in the eyes of the world.
ДншдЬ, I totally agree with you. It seems that the world is so selective when it comes to showing support or solidarity. I am not going to mention Iraq and Palestine since no body cares about them here in Kuwait (what a sad and tragic state of afairs we reached), but what about the victims of Katrina in the US, the tsunami in south Asia, the war in Somalia, the famine in Mali,….etc
I did enough silence at the candle lit 3azza (vigil) today at school.
False: “I am not going to mention Iraq and Palestine since no body cares about them here in Kuwait” you cant generalize!
nQ, I am glad that you think differently! You are right: I should not generalize. Thanks for your input, and for correcting me.
KtheKuwaiti,
ana agool u do it, oo make it for a month
Ahwab,
start your own thing for palestine/iraq,
obviously this day of silence thing was done by americans, of coarse they are going to aim at tradgeies at their own countries.
if ur so annoyed by that, start your own thing
The Dagger,
since u agreed with ahwab, ur reply is with his reply, (see above)
nQ,
its good that you have already done that.
The Dagger,
yeh generalizing, no good
