Office 2007 Rocks!

A couple of months ago, I managed to get “my hands on” Office 2007. I didn’t use it that much, I either use OpenOffice.org, or Google Doc & Spreadsheet (web based), and both of them have treated me well so far. From the first time I opened up the new Office, I fell in love with it. Office has pretty much “looked” the same over the past few releases, but the newest release is totally different, yet very easy to get your way around. It looks nothing like your standard Windows application. It’s worth the upgrade if you are in the market.

Another reason I am in love with it right now, is the ability to post on my blog directly from MS Word. This is what I am doing with this post. It’s a breeze, just choose your blogging software, put in your username and password, and that’s pretty much it. The only downside that I have noticed, after posting a couple of test posts (where I used many of word’s features, inserting tables, graphs, etc. and the all looked fine), is that you cant choose more than one category :P

MSN Live Writer is pretty light and good too for postng blog entries. I am using it now and I am LOVING it. it does have the problem of not handling categories correctly.
By the way, did Word import you CSS ? MLW is supposed to do it, but it failed :(

Just don’t forget to download the add-on for office which enables you to use (Word) documents created with Office 2007, with previous versions, since the new word format is not compatible with them.

      HanDev,
I am not aware of importing your CSS into MS Word. It didnt ask me for such thing when I set up my blog account.

      MSB,
yeah thats the way I am doing it now.

      AJK,
It is, its making me wanting to try vista now.

Thanks for the tip. Although I am skeptical of updating it cuz its not necessarily “legal” ;)

I wouldn’t trust it too much, because when I look at the bare code of these posts there are a lot of unneccesary tags just to format the look. thats the one thing I don’t like about the New Windows software, also the issue of backwards compatability.
