torrents are basically files that are stored in the computers of the users not on any server.
u visit sites such as torrentspy.com or mininova.org (and countless other sites), search for the content u want, download the small torrent file (contains info that u will need to connect to the tracker and connect to the users sharing the file), u then open that small file in a torrent program (i recommend utorrent) and let it connect and see it download.
you should choose torrents that have a large number of seeds (people who have the file on their computer) and peers (people who are downloading the file).
i think i have covered it nicely
let me know if u have any questions
the spelling thing needs a whole different kind of plugin, i will try installing something like that when i got the time.
about the speed of the torrents, well its mainly becausethat you are downloading from the free open torrent sites. people who download from there dont really upload that much. but people in registered torrent sites (you have to register, and they keep track of ur upload to download ratio) open up their uploads so ur download can get a lot faster.
example.
downloading tv shows from registered torrent site usually takes me 20-30 mins for the one hour tv shows, from open sites it can take me a whole day
the problem is that its very tough getting into one of these sites, u have to be either invited or u have to donate to get it. I am sorry but i dont have any invites right now.
It’s better… so we can see the “Others”
Will, At least you can see it on TV - I have to download it from iTunes! and they are 1 episode(s) older!
Khloud!
use torrents! dont buy shows from iTunes, unless u dont want pirated shows. You can find the shows an hour or two after it has aired in the US
torrents? I haven’t used it before - can you give me the link please
