My First Classical Music Concert

As part of my music class, actually it was for extra credit, I attended my first classical music concert last night. It was not your ordinary classical music concert, this one was held in a park. I didnt expect it to be the way it was. The audience was mostly families, bringing their kids, having a picnic in the park. It was a fun atmosphere. There were a lot more people that I thought there would be.

The weather was nice, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the music was really nice too. I knew the composers, the genre, amongst other things. This class has done what its name is supposed to do, and that is to appreciate music.

It was really fun, and I think I will do it again, for another 5% :P and if I had nothing to do on a Sunday.

Here are a few pics that I took last night.

A look of the large crowd that showed up. That is the area where people who actually bought their own lawn chairs sat, guess who didnt bring one :P. We sat in the area that was labelled “blanket area.” Guess who also forgot to get a blanket :P

I really like this shot. Its a shot of the stage where the orchestra performed on.

      Yazeed-

Aren’t they wonderful? I used to spend a great deal of time at our Symphony Hall, and attending the open air concerts in the summer when I was at college. It was so darn magical and wonderful. Beautiful music played elegantly and with great dignity has a power to transform and move something in you to a higher place.

P.S. Use “Shout” to get the grass stains out ;P , and next time remember to bring a blanket so you can lie down and look up at the twilight, moon and stars while listening to the music…
