As part of my music class, actually it was for extra credit, I attended my first classical music concert last night. It was not your ordinary classical music concert, this one was held in a park. I didnt expect it to be the way it was. The audience was mostly families, bringing their kids, having a picnic in the park. It was a fun atmosphere. There were a lot more people that I thought there would be.
The weather was nice, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the music was really nice too. I knew the composers, the genre, amongst other things. This class has done what its name is supposed to do, and that is to appreciate music.
It was really fun, and I think I will do it again, for another 5%
and if I had nothing to do on a Sunday.
Here are a few pics that I took last night.

A look of the large crowd that showed up. That is the area where people who actually bought their own lawn chairs sat, guess who didnt bring one :P. We sat in the area that was labelled “blanket area.” Guess who also forgot to get a blanket

I really like this shot. Its a shot of the stage where the orchestra performed on.

Thats a damn cool looking stage! i would want to build something like that bil ikwait! On a side note.. I only see WHITE PEOPLE! hahahahahahahahaha
lol

i was thinking the same thing, 5 mins upon arriving in the park
in the first picture i think you can spot that the security guard is black, he is on the right edge of the pic
hahahahaha! One black guy! hahahaha!! Was his name JAMAL! lol
lol

you’re probably right
i am going on sunday for another 5%
if i see him i’ll ask him
Yazeed-
Aren’t they wonderful? I used to spend a great deal of time at our Symphony Hall, and attending the open air concerts in the summer when I was at college. It was so darn magical and wonderful. Beautiful music played elegantly and with great dignity has a power to transform and move something in you to a higher place.
P.S. Use “Shout” to get the grass stains out ;P , and next time remember to bring a blanket so you can lie down and look up at the twilight, moon and stars while listening to the music…
It was a nice atmosphere and experience. I didnt think I would enjoy it, but i did.
I went again last night, lawn chair and icebox in hand this time
