Manchester United 0-1 Arsenal

Arsenal did it. We beat Manchester AT Old Trafford, they were in form, we were not, which makes it even sweeter. Arsenal played well, better than I thought. The game was fair, both teams sharing almost the same number of chances. Arsenalunited-arsenal2.jpg adebayor_united.jpgmissed a penalty (thanks Gilberto, thanks for slipping at the right time) in the first 10 mins of the game. The first 20 minutes was really exciting. The second half was not that exciting, the pace of the game slowed down a lot, it felt like the teams were playing in extra time. Arsenal had 2 counter attacks towards the end game, which they missed, then Fabs set up Adebayor for the goal in the 85th. Arsenal’s first win in the league could not have come at a better time, and against who? and where! Even though Chelsea beat Liverpool (a game which Liverpool should have at least drew) I am happy, nothing beats beating the Mancs at Old Trafford. Hopefully Arsenal can keep it up.

Here is the goal. .:.Link.:. (for the missed penalty, click here)

Everton beating liverpool 3-0 at home, thats a win. What Arsenal did today was just luck and the fact that Man U had an off day. I honestly believe Arsenal might not make it into the top 6 this year.

wow wat a game, im speechless…
i always knew that eventually something good was gonna come out of adebayor.
im so happy right now, i cant describe this feeling, i wish i can go to london and watch a live game like this.
btw yazeez, i told u that we will be fine without henry. although he is a great player(henry), i dont know y sometimes i feel its better to play without him, i wonder if he was playing this game if we would have won it.

in the end mabrook to all ARSENAL fans for this great win

      pontis
everton beat liverpool 3-o at home like u said, key word at HOME plus liverpool’s form isnt all that nowadays, although it was a great win for everton.
while the ARSENAL beat man u, who were pretty much in their best form in this start of their season and at their home, key word their home, which means arsenal were away just to explain it to u.plus we are missin henry van persie sanderos clichey and others..and we outplayed ur Man u
so it appears to me that u dont know shit about football, and i advice u to watch ur domestic league and leave the english premier league to us plz.
and finally i can predict that this is the start of the downfall of man u

      yallah i’ll say mabrook :/
none of the vital players at man u were at their level.. ronaldo kept kicking long unaccurate passes when he couldve just used his speed to run past the defenders.. rooney was invisible and oshea was an idiot for that one moment when he gave the ball away :S

too bad i didnt see the chelsea game.. i couldnt wake up :P but im happy they won :D
but the best thing ever was madrid’s game! reyes’ free kick was amazing! and becks’ goal was super sweet :D

      cant wait til next weekend

      Pontis,
1-0 away is not a bad result, winning at home is a must for big teams. Arsenal won it fair and square, man u were lucky that gilberto slipped and blew that penalty. Arsenal were also not on full strength. Henry, Van Persie, Clichy, Sanderos, 3 of them would have played in this game. Lehman had a big game. Call it luck, I call it a statement of character and intent from Arsenal.

      HAnman,
well a lot of people say that henry is arsenal and arsenal cant do shit without him, but we beat united at OT. Hope this is a great start for arsenal. Their next 4 games has 3 promoted teams. Sheifield United at home, Charlton away, Watfor at home, and Reading away, with two champions league games in between. If arsenal win those games, they should be in a great position, also they could concentrate more on the league when the final round of champions league group stage comes around, arsenal can win all of those, hope they would.

      Snookie,
Alex Ferguson (suprisingly) put it best:
“I think in the second half we looked tired and I can’t deny Arsenal deserved to win.”
ronaldo was the one who gave the ball away (twice!) to fabs to set up the goal, not oshea :P

I dont recall reyes scoring a free kick for arsenal! maybe its because henry is always taking them, and i cant belive beckham scored from a one on one :P

btw, u got comment #1500 on this blog, mabrook :P, u already collected ur prize by me telling u about FLF :P

      Atsooo,

      ee 3abaly :P

Yes O’Shea gave one ball away.
And so did C.Ronaldo, so what. No biggie.

As for Ronaldo out-running Eboue or Toure, who were on his flank-side that he tried to breach… hardly gonna happen, they’re not slow you know.
But like Ronaldo says “If I cannot outrun them, I’ll out-manoeuvre them.”
Clear and simple, Arsenal deserved the win, and Man U’s coach even said it.
No sore losers please. Ya3ni no offense.

Ok HAnman, I’ll watch my domestic league. You are the man. Arsenal are the best team in the universe and they will win the treble this year.
