Khaleeji 18 Day 1+2

First day of our favorite football tournament, it was full of suprises. I expected UAE to beat Oman in the opening game, since they are hosting Kas Al Khaleej, but that didnt happen. Oman beat the UAE 2-1. The next surprise is Kuwait drawing with Yemen. Yes it was a draw. I didn’t watch the game, but I saw the highlights, and it seemed that Kuwait did well but got a disappointing result with a draw.

Anyway here are the first days goals and Highlights:

Right click and save as to download, will add highlights to youtube later in the day.

Today witnessed two matches in what I see is the tougher group of the two. Group two has Saudi Arabia, Qatar (previous Champions), Bahrain, and Iraq. The first match was between Saudi and Bahrain, it didnt really live up to expectations. It ended 2-1 to Saudi, with the first 2 goals (one for Bahrain, the other for Saudi, coming from penalties), Bahrain had 2 players sent off. Saudi grabbed a late winner from Yasser Al Qahtani. The other match was between Qatar and Iraq, it ended 1-0 in Iraq’s favour. I didnt really see the match or highlights so I cant say anything about this game, other that that the goal came in the first half.

I saw the Kuwait/Yemen game and I thought it was good. Iraq/Qatar wasn’t that bad. It’s good that Saudi won, but I have no idea why the coach took Malek Mu3ath out. He would’ve ripped through the defense after the second Bahraini player was sent out. M7amad Ameen would’ve been a good pick to play this morning.
The next 2 games are tough. But oh well, beltawfeeg leljamee3.

Inshallah i will get to see the matches this weekend, although they are really early. I still didnt get to see a full match, only highlights and goals, the saudi match i saw online, and it was buffering like crazy.
Inshallah we will do well in the next two games, both are really tough, if we beat qatar on sunday, we are through.
