The Iraqi Parliament is planning a 2 month vacation during July and August. I wonder what kind of laws will “pass” during this period. For a country that is currently being “rebuilt” this seems awfully fishy.

Well, they are useless any way! The country is not being rebuilt as you mentioned. It is being destroyed and ripped off by the Americans. I guess since the rubber-stamp parliament is not doing the job that the occupying Americans wanted it to do, there is no need for such an artificial and useless body. The puppet government can now pass the Oil Laws that the Americans wanted in the first place. The Americans didn’t invade and occupy Iraq for its dates and palm trees!
