Interesting Read: Top Arab journalist slams ‘Palestinians’

A top international Arab journalist has slammed the “Palestinians” for continuing to entertain and pursue fantasies of defeating Israel, while their children unnecessarily suffer in a morass of illiteracy, squalor and suicidal dreams.

In an editorial published last Friday by the New York Sun, Youssef Ibrahim urged the Palestinian Arabs to wake up to reality.

“The war with Israel is over. You have lost. Surrender and negotiate to secure a future for your children.”

Ibrahim explained that while the wider Arab world makes grand statements about supporting the “Palestinians,” the chances of any Arab state actually going to war with Israel over the “Palestinian” issue are next to nothing.

“We, your Arab brothers, may say until we are blue in the face that we stand by you, but the wise among you and most of us know that we are moving on, away from the tired old idea of the Palestinian Arab cause and the ‘eternal struggle’ with Israel.”

He goes on to point out that the “Palestinians” could have had their own state in 1948, and that clinging to the conflict is causing the amount of land they can expect to receive to steadily decrease.

Meanwhile, “Palestinian” society and the local economy lay in ruins, leaving little hope for the coming generations.

“Your young people are growing up illiterate, ill, and bent on rites of death and suicide… Every day your officials must beg for your daily bread…while your criminal Muslim fundamentalist Hamas government continues to fan the flames of a war it can neither fight nor hope to win.”

And before Hamas, it was PLO chief Mahmoud Abbas’ mentor, Yasser Arafat, who practiced such oppression.

“Before you got stuck with this Hamas crowd [Ed. Note - actually, Hamas was overwhelmingly elected], another cheating, conniving, leader of yours, Yasser Arafat, sold you a rotten bill of goods — more pain, greater corruption, and millions stolen by his relatives — while your children played in the sewers of Gaza.”

Ibrahim notably strayed from the traditional line of blaming Israel for the abysmal conditions under which Arab men, women and children live in Judea, Samaria and the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Authority and its eager partners in the international mainstream media regularly promote that notion, despite the fact the Palestinian Arabs have been the recipients of more Western financial aid per capita than any people group on earth.

Ya know, I kinda agree with him. I mean it’s been like 70 years and still there is no peace in the region. Sometimes we have to agree with the “current situation” and move on. It’s impossible to kick the Israelis from Palestine/ Israel at this time, they have settled and built their homes…we have to accept that and start peace negotiations. Violence vs. violence method that we have been using won’t get us anywhere.

if nothing else, how come no ones ever asked how arafat died with an estimated net worth of US$3billion ?

and if no one believes that well there was this one time when arafat bought a US$3 million house in jordan, while clintons house in NY was only US$1.5 million. the houses were bought within a few months of each other. all this while 5 generations have been wasting away.

theres a book everyone in the mideast should read that puts politics aside and focuses on the finacial aspects of various armed groups during the 20th century. the PLO features heavily.

every arab should read it cos whether you agree with it or not, atleast now you know.

its called Terror Inc. but dont let the title dissuade you from reading it.

at the very least palestinians and israelis should ask their leaders janet jacksons immortal question:

what have you done for me lately?

      :P

      Fallen Angel,
I agree with what you said, plus dont forget Israel has the power and the “connections” to stay there. People who really think that they can really get rid of Israel are really out of this world. With what do they want to kick them out? crappy missiles that have a range of 50 km? armies that they dont have? with the world standing behind them? with what?

      sknk,
we have all heard how arafat was, but arent all arab leaders corrupt, palestine is a special case, with all the problems they have, they cant have corruption, and arafat was that, thats why he didnt really achieve anything in his life.

      closet diva,
i posted the whole aritcle so i forgot to actually post the link
      i updated it now.
