Last night, as well as every night since Saturday, we have been getting thunderstorms every night here in Charlotte.
Last night’s storm was an exemption. It was really intense. Really, really strong winds shook the whole building, I thought it was a tornado or something. My American roommate said that he has never seen something like it. Heck, I have not seen anything like this.
Here’s a short clip that I managed to shoot, before the batteries ran out

The commentery from one of your friends was hilarious! “You el Qiyaamah!” hahahaha!!
I have seen worse in California! But that sucks when your outside!
Saudis and water .. never a good combination.
Yazeed-
As someone who has been through one tornado - no make that THREE - and TWO major hurricanes, allow me to lecture you about getting into a windowless internal room ( one not next to the outside walls) in the apartment next time. If there was a tornado approaching, your ears would have been popping from the pressure change, and you would have heard roaring. Heck, it was raining sideways 3indikum! And you guys went out in it! Min sijkum!
P.S. remember it’s the start of hurricane season in N.C., so go buy some bottled water and canned goods/dried foods, as well as batteries and flashlights.
P.P.S. That looked like some storm…send some our way because it gets up to 48C here now and its only mid-June…
MsB, done with her lecturing mama/big sister spiel….
Marzouq,
Well that guy is crazy, he is the funniest person i have met, even, my roommates (Americans) think so, he is just crazy.
K,
what do u mean?
i smell something fishy here.
MsB,
Well there was one tornado that hit a couple of miles from where we are at, but it wasnt as bad as what we saw last night.
I cant wait for hurricane season!
I heard that they hit here, but just as thunderstorms, nothing serious like Florida.
and yo, e7na 3zoobia, there is always canned or dried food around!
