I was thinking yesterday after I saw on the news that oil reached $71 a barrel, about how much money our governments are making. The whole gulf region is in its second “6afra” and large amounts of money are being thrown around.
Take me for example, I am on a scholarship to the states, part of a big scholarship program. My tuition costs $19,000 a year, if we calculate how many barrels is that, lets say Saudi oil sells for $60, thats 317 (with rounding up) barrels. Its a tiny number judging that Saudi is pumping 12 million barrels a day these days. There are about 5000 students who were sent here this year, thats about 1.6million? barrels to pay the tuition of 5000 students in one year, double that amount for salary, insurance, and other costs.? Thats like less than a third of a normal production day (10 million barrels).
I think we should get paid in barrels.

no no no.. i sure as hell dont want to be paid in barrels of oil.. what if the price goes down? the money i get on my scholorship is barely enough for me as it is..
as long as america is in iraq, thats not gonna happen
you know something, with all that money…why the FUCK do we have to pay for housing in Kuwait?! Why can’t the government give everyone a free house NOW?!
