Fourth of July Fireworks

What an amazing display we saw last night in the uptown (just a fancy name for downtown) Charlotte. It lasted for about 50 minutes, which is a long time for a fireworks display. The whole uptown was very organized. We went around a few places to see the display in different parts of the area.

There is something about fireworks that amazes all types of people. No matter how old you are, or where you come from, you will sit there and watch in awe.

When I was switiching on the camera, I missed a “smiley face” firework display which made everyone shout and clap. I am still kicking myself for choosing that moment to turn on the camera!

Here are a few shots we got yesterday (we only went around so we could get better shots with the skyscrapers).

That is the Bank of America Building which is the landmark here in Charlotte.

      Dear Yazeed,

      OLLAH!

How beautiful your pictures are :) The BOA building is amazing. Somehow now, for some strange silly reason, I feel glad to be their client LOL… And 50 minutes is indeed a very long fireworks display…from the looks of your lovely pictures, it must have been great.

Happy Independence Day! Did you go to/have a cookout?

MsB, who misses the States very much…
