I know what you mean, but I completely avoided that during my time because I wanted to do a lot of things and if people werent that happy about my character I kind of just didnt care. Im now good friends with a bunch of guys who know me more then anyone and their backgrounds are only similar in a few things which is normal. But none of it was forced and thats why I think of these guys as my brothers, because I went through great times and hell with these guys! And it just makes the bonds stronger.
I like to call them friends of circumstance; when the circumstances change .. they are no longer there.
