eBay Fever!!!

I have never really used eBay before, but the other day I saw a link to an item in a blog i usually read. Anyways I was looking through it and started searching for whatever came to mind. Ebay are running a advertising campaign these days on TV with a motto like “whatever it is, you’ll find it on eBay.”

I stumbled upon Theirry Henry’s autograph along with Arsene Wenger. Both autographs on the same picture (Wenger was presenting Henry with the golden boot for finishing as top striker in this year’s league) and I said to my self that it is too good to be true, so I contact the guy who was selling it and in a silly way I asked him it the autographs were fake or not. A few minutes later, he emails me a link and he just said that I should check it out, so I do. To my surprise it was a streaming video link of both Henry and Wenger signing the picture! The guy points the camera at himself, then asks Henry to sign the picture, and asks him to say hi to eBay! And Henry does! The same thing happened to Wenger.

There was about 2 hours left in the auction, so I bid $30 (it was at 20). About 5 mins before the auction ends someone bid $30.5, and a few seconds later it hit 38. So I wait until there was 15 seconds left and I raise it up to 40, only to find out that someone bid 40.80! So I panic and start cussing at the computer as if its the problem. 6 seconds remain, and I quickly bid 41.3 (the minimum amount I can bid), and it wasnt enough. Turns out that you can set a maximum bid you set and eBay will automatically bid in the increments the seller has decided to choose. I lost the auction, in the dying seconds. I never felt this much adrenaline in my life!

I found in Harrolds a few football shirts signed by the players. They had one that I liked.. It was a Liverpool Champions League shirt signed by Xabi Alonzo just after they won the Champions League in 2005.. It costs £200!! Still not sure if I should get it.. :P

hahahaha! Yazeed I know exactly what you mean! So now I set a high limit for anything I want and just wait. You know only if you really want it. But some things I only see a certain worth to it! So i can understand how you feel about it! You just keep pressing bid… bid …. bid… bid… bid… bid….bid…

and i like paypal too! Its only you have to verify a lot of info for it to be comfortable with you! but its worth it!
