I was having a haircut today. The place I was at was empty, just me, and 2 hair stylists, I was sitting on the chair, getting my hair done, and both stylists start complaining of the guy outside. As you may figure out, the guy was from the Salvation Army (I just used this pic to show the bell, its the best one I could find). He was collecting donations, and ringing that bell non stop. The area I was in was kinda empty, it gets crowded during lunchtime, but afterwards its not, so you can imagine how the loud that bell was.
The whole time I could hear nothing but that “Ding-Dong, Ding-Ding” non-stop. So I ask the girl giving me the haircut to stop for a second, I go outside, offer $5 for the salvation army AS long as he doesn’t ring that bell until after I got my hair done. I am not cruel (lol this is the second time i say this here, therefore maybe I am), but that sound was annoying! Nobody was there to donate in the first place!
The guy was very surprised. It doesn’t stop here. The girl giving me my haircut, realized whats going on, comes out seconds after I do, takes another $5 out of her wallet, and gives it to him, as long as if he goes to Wal-Mart and starts ringing that bell there. She goes off explaining to him why Wal-Mart would be a better choice (more people blah blah blah) than Supercuts (yeah yeah thats where I get my haircuts). Bear in mind, the Salvation Army dude barely said a word yet, he was speechless. He breaks his silence and says, “I’ve already made $10 in one minute, do you know how long will it take me do get that from the Wal-Mart crowd, thanks for the donation,” and he just picks up his hanging bucket thingi, and just leaves. I know he won in the end, but I am glad he was gone.
Damn! writing this post brought back those ding-dongs sounds in my head!
Anyways,

anyways 3ala the ding donging.. lo ana mukanik chaan mittttt.. atnarfaz bs askit.. especially when it’s water dripping from a tap.. or clocks ticking.. you know there are no wall clocks in our house coz I get so tense.. if there are they’re digital or silent.. or in a corner I’d never cross.. madre..

money buys u anything these days…well i am not really bothered by the things u mentioned. I only like being in a queit place when i think about something, but otherwise, i need something else, like when i study, i have to have some music on. When i sleep, i have to have the TV open (if i am nice i would hit the sleep button).
