Did Hizballah Achieve Anything?

I just want to see what people think about the “cease-fire.”

It was funny to me when Israel announced that the cease-fire is a diplomatic victory for Israel!

What do you think?

I don’t know if any side achieved anything.
You can not stop humans from killing each other.
There will always be a reason to do so!
We will end up by exterminating the human race which could be good news for the rest of the species on Earth!

      hows about the question:

      was it all worth it?

assad and nasrallah seem to think so.

it depends really on how you see it all. there are so many different ways to interpret the recent events, but one things for sure, its not over by any means.

check out rampurples post today titled “i’m scared,…”

it really makes you wonder whats gonna happen next.

depends what arab-israel wars can you count… excluding the repeatable human suffering, this is the first time israel got hit badly. it achieved none of its aiming goals. hizbulla lost the respect/support of many (and won new ones),

      israel lost
      hizbulla lost, the least loser.
      lebanon lost, the biggest loser

hizbulla is not a gorilla army or a terrorist organization or a resistance.. hizbulla is an ideology, if israel would accept this definition, they may finally understand how no matter how many houses they bring down, the ideology will still be intact.

on an end note -apart from that i miss ur posts- this is what you get when u let sharon sleep too much.

I think it all depends what you wanted from this war.. but i think that Hezballah came up on top.. they managed to keep Israel back.. they fought Israel for 32 days.. much longer then any country has fought them before… they have hit Israel with over 4000 rockets, destroyed 32 tanks, 2 helicopters.. I dont know how many troops were killed.. but the cost for them and lebanese were high.. but it reached a point where they couldnt stop because Israel had no intention of stopping.

but the thing is.. it reached a point where peopled wanted Hezballah to do damage because they killed so many innocent lebanese.. i was happy about anything happening to Israel.. I have never really hated Israell. I thought the best policy was to leave them alone.. but after what they did to Lebanon I do hate them.. its simple as that for me..

      sknk,
well it might have been worth it
if this will stop Israel from bombing Lebanon whenever the want to and make the world realise that Israel are getting a free ride diplomatically, it might be worth it.
we will have to wait and see if this war actually changed anything or not
      i’ll check out rampurple’s post.

      vintage,
just to add to what you said:
this ideology will only become stronger and work harder every time you hit them.
and with their victory, even if it was a moral one, they will become a lot stronger and work harder for the “next” one.

      and lol, funny ending!

      Marzouq,
Yeah I agree with you, its funny how the whole world is not willing to admit that Hizballah actually managed to pull something here.
The Next time this happens, they will be even better.
and btw Israel announced that 119 of their soldiers have been killed and over 750 injured. I think I heard that Hizballah lost close to 650.
