200,000 race car fans are in Charlotte this week. The streets are full, the restaurants are full, the malls are full. The street right in front of my complex, which is only 5 miles away from Lowe’s motor speedway, is packed all day long. Lots of rednecks these days.
Charlotte turned out to be the “mecca” of Nascar. Tonight is the all-star race, and next Saturday is the Coca-600. The weather sucks, its raining heavily these days. I have been advised that its not worth it to go out this week, as its not worth the traffic, especially when gas prices cost like this (this was from a week ago, now its $2.91):
Today is The Godfather trilogy day, just enough time now to finish all three movies at 3 or 4 am :P. Netflix will come in handy this week.
