Dont you just love cup matches? This match was a good example. Arsenal scored first, in the first half through Adebayor. Second half Bolton started strong, trying to grab an equaliser, but with no luck. Arsenal had chances too. Gilberto missed a penalty. Adebayor hitting the bar afterwards. Then in the 91st minute, Bolton equalised, and take the match to extra time. Bolton has always been a tough fixture for Arsenal. So I didnt really have high hopes when it when to extra time, my good-luck charm was no where to be seen :P. Mind you that Arsenal didnt have Henry, Lehman, or Fabregas on the field.

Freddie scored in the 2nd half of extra time (3rd minute), Bolton still tried to score, getting close once or twice. Then another penalty, this time another Brazilian, Baptista, stepped up to take it, and missed again! I just realized that Arsenal had 3 Brazilians on the field, we rarely see them playing in England! (Denilison was great, he seems like a good buy, keep an eye out for him). Bolton tried and tried, and Arsenal wasted a few chance. It was a tense couple of minutes, non stop attacking football. Then in the last minute of extra time, Adebayor sealed it after Baptista went one on one with the keeper. I really enjoyed the the match. We take on Blackburn at home on Saturday, its televised here in the states (woohoo!) but its at 7.30 am. Its a good week for Arsenal fans in the states, Arsenal’s match with PSV in the Champs League on Tuesday (away match, 1st leg) is also televised. Thats 4 live matches in 10 days.
