Ba6ala (having nothing to do) bil ghorba has a different taste. Back home I savored my ba6ala days. Waking up late, having nothing to do, it was nice break from “everything.” Two days after getting done with school, I find myself bored to the bone. I am alone in the apartment, and the complex is empty, seems like everyone left so quickly. My Sunday was spent in the couch, literally (well not totally). Woke up early (11 am is early in my book), watched West Ham beat Manchester United. Then some friends and I went to a local sports bar to watch the Panthers take on the Steelers, but the Panthers sucked so bad that we left right after we finished our lunch, they lost 3-37 I think.
Then it was the couch again. Flipping through the channels (TV sucks on Sundays!). I feel the need to do something so that I can go through my days, surely I wont be able to sustain such a life style. Then called a friend that I enjoy talking to. Its funny how you can talk and talk with a person on the phone even if you have no real reason to call, in other words mako salfa bas il sowalif ma t5ali9. I guess its a ghorba thing.
Then some friends came over, chatted for a bit, and left. Then it was back to “my couch.” (They sat on it when they came :P). Shakla I will sleep here 
I hear that Star Academy is back on I wonder how many of you are reading this while watching their 24 hour channel. Star Academy is a weird phenomenon. Everybody says they dont watch it, not into it, and whatever, but sure enough, when its Friday night, everyone is glued to their TV sets watching the “prime.” Its available online through some sites, I *might* check it out, since I have nothing better to do these days.

i watched the prime.. watched bits of the 24, but haven’t gotten that into it yet. they’re too rowdy when it’s the complete gang. it doesnt get more interesting till later on.

hmmmm ya i checked out the prime the other day but only bits cuz i was out, just like MSB said its boring when its the full gang, it gets better when they become less.. I watched a bit of the 24, 3alla 7a’6i everytime i put on it theyr doing the mee-aaa-eeeee thingy which sorta gets irritating after a while..

I totally understand what you mean! I’m from Dubai but I too study in the states and it’s horrible having nothing to do there (and I especially agree about the crappy weekend television). I just wanted to say Hi, I read your journal often and it’s quite interesting. I love football as well (to be honest, I’m a big fan of Liverpool myself but a7sanli atim saktah about that right now =P). And also, I wanted to ask… where do you watch Star Academy? I have all the streaming programs but I’m not sure where I’d be able to get the links. I’m in Dubai for Christmas break right now and I’ve admittedly gotten addicted to the show and its 24 hour channel. =P I’m flying back to the states in about a week and I’d love to be able to keep following it (also, I fear the withdrawal symptoms).
