Arsenal 3-0 Liverpool

478084_mediumsquare.jpgIt sure feels good being an Arsenal Fan today. 3-0 against Liverpool, which could have been more, aint bad. I knew Arsenal were going to win, but I didn’t think Liverpool would let them play their game. If someone would have told me that Flamini, Toure, and Gallas would have been the scorers, I would agree on Gallas, not the other too, but it happened, so hats off to the lads.

The first half saw a 14th minute goal for Peter Crouch ruled offside, I didn’t see it, but my roommate, a Liverpool fan, says it was an offside, so I am guessing it is. The goal came after some exquisite passing by Fabregas, Hleb, and Flamini.

The second half was a bit more like a typical day at the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal controlling the game, trying to break through, while the opponents try to counter attack. Arsenal did better in the second half, but Liverpool looked dangerous. In the 56 minute, RvP setup Kolo Toure (of all people) for the second goal. Third goal came at the 80th minute where Gallas scored a free header from a corner. Adebayor missed a one-on-one with the Liverpool keeper which could have easily became the fourth goal.

Mabrook… I was heartbroken :( but nonetheless, Liverpool didn’t deserve much with the way they played… The first half was evenly matched, but the second was mostly Arsenal, aside from a few dangerous chances for Liverpool… What bothered me was that the 3 goals were made possible due to mistakes Liverpool commited! What happened to the back four and goal keeper that kept 30+ cleans sheet last season! :(

great goals by Ronaldinho, but was the Saviola goal offside? or is the offside void if the ball comes off the crossbar?

      MabrooooK ;)

    13. Gravatar Icon 13 Yazeed Nov 13th, 2006 at 12:51 am

      Sami,
no he wasnt cause when the ball was kicked he wasnt in an offside position, and if it hits the crossbar or comes of the goalkeeper or a defender, it doesnt matter, as long as he was orignally onside.

      YoupYe,
      :) thanks
