bear in mind that this website is going to launch on the 15th of May.
Summer is around the corner and for most people its travel season. Ticket prices seem to fluctuate like crazy. Well don’t worry, Yapta (Your Amazing Personal Travel Assistant) is here. Turns out you can get a refund if the price of the ticket you bought goes down after you buy it.
There is a little-known rule in the airline industry called the “guaranteed airfare rule.” If you buy a ticket directly from an airline and the price of that ticket later drops, you are eligible for a refund or voucher (usually they give you the price difference minus a change fee). It’s a voluntary policy most airlines have adopted to placate angry customers and to generate brand loyalty.
I don’t know if the airlines back home implement this, but I will certainly use this website for all my future purchases. I’ve personally seen how ticket prices can jump up and down like crazy which is very frustrating.
